It is possible to develop writing through all of the senses. In this class, we will explore writing visually, by developing and altering one’s handwriting. We will also experience how the other senses can be engaged: sound, smell and touch can play a significant part in enlivening the quality of line. Drawing exercises will be used to develop writing skills. Poetry will be part of the day, opening the door to imagination and content for your own words. We will make a small portfolio of samples of writing.

The materials we use include fine point pens, graphite, watercolor, colored pencils and sumi ink.
